An afternoon tea party is an event for all the ladies to get together and have a good time with some tea and snacks. It can be considered as a light lunch affair and was initiated by the British as tea was, and still is a favorite with them. You can always have such a party for any occasion such as a shower, birthday, graduation or simply as a get together. It's a great opportunity to spend some quality time with friends and family when you on a day off from work or it's been a long time since you've caught up with them. Let's get to know some interesting ideas.
Ideas to Consider
Hosting a party can be fun as you get to cook some delicious food items. Usually this party can be scheduled at 4:00 pm or a little earlier. Given below are some tips to organize the party which your friends will love. So think of a day and invite them over.
Table Settings
If you want to go for a theme, keep it simple and quiet. The table is the most important place of the occasion. You can mix and match colors of the table cloth and the crockery in your own way.
If you set a white floral cloth, then co-ordinate the tea set accordingly. Set a white banquet to keep the food, while water glasses will go to the sides. Use a floral centerpiece or just a round bouquet in a vase would look attractive. Complement or match the napkins with the table color and lay out the china along with spoons and knives. Your lovely table is set.
With tea you can serve a number of other eatables like sandwiches, cupcakes, scones, flavored tarts, biscuits, muffins, cakes and fruits.
