Mix Up These 5 Cocktail Recipes at Your Next House Party

Home / Uncategorized / Mix Up These 5 Cocktail Recipes at Your Next House Party

Every legendary party needs (at least) one signature cocktail. Much more than just a standard mixed drink, your signature cocktail should be delicious, unique, and reflective of your personality as a host.

If you’re seeking inspiration for your signature cocktail, take a look at the five recipes we’ve rounded up below. Each of these drinks uses a different type of liquor, so you’re sure to find something you like, regardless of your alcohol preferences.

Cucumber Lemonade Vodka Cocktail

Originating on the Clean Eating Couple blog, this delightful and refreshing drink is perfect for lazy summertime afternoons. It’s low in sugar, super easy to make, and only requires a few simple ingredients that you likely already have at home.

To make the drink, you’ll first muddle some cucumber and mint in a pitcher or cocktail shaker before adding vodka and lemonade. From there, shake the concoction and serve it over ice to your thirsty guests. If you’d prefer, you can substitute white rum for the vodka.

Ginger Pear Bourbon Cocktail

Balance out the strong taste of bourbon with the more subtle flavors of ginger and pear. These three ingredients blend perfectly to create a drink that will delight the whiskey lovers in your life, courtesy of the No Spoon Necessary blog.

For this recipe, you will need to make your own ginger honey simple syrup from ginger, honey, and water. Then combine the simple syrup with the bourbon, fresh pear juice, and lemon before shaking it and serving chilled over ice.

Buttered Rum Cocktail

While many cocktails are designed for drinking on hot days, there are also plenty of cold-weather beverages that hit the spot just as well. For instance, this rum-based concoction is served warm to help you stay cozy during the winter months.

Featured on the London Unattached blog, the Buttered Rum Cocktail is the perfect melding of rum, butter, allspice, orange, and other similar flavors. To make it, simmer the non-alcoholic ingredients on the stovetop before adding the rum and garnishing with whipped cream and a cinnamon stick.

Cranberry Gin Cocktail

This is another drink that’s most enjoyable around Christmas time, but it’s served chilled rather than hot. It comes from the Tasting Table blog and uses lots of fresh and flavorful ingredients, which your party guests will love.

This handcrafted cocktail is essentially made in layers, starting with the initial layer of gin, simple syrup, lemon, and a small bit of ice. From there, add another layer with muddled cranberries and ice, before topping it off with more ice, fresh mint, and sugar-brushed cranberries.

Tequila Sunrise Champagne Punch

Don’t worry – we didn’t forget about all of the tequila fans out there! This recipe can serve several people, so it’s best to make it in a punch bowl or glass pitcher.

Let's Work Together!

Created by the Cake ‘N Knife blog, this bubbly take on the classic cocktail is perfect for a party because it’s incredibly easy to make in large batches. Mix the tequila, fruit juices, champagne, and ice and then add the grenadine to achieve the tequila sunrise cocktail look.
