During all birthday or casual parties, apart from the arrangements, the food menu always takes up the center stage. If we happen to host one of them, we always want the food to be unique and tasty. Preparing delicious and mouth-watering dishes is the best way to make your guests happy.
Ready-To-Go Wraps (serves 8)
Ingredients:
- Tortilla Wraps, 8
- Pepper Salsa, 8 tsp.
- Chicken Tikka Slices, ½ lbs.
- Red Peppers, 2 (roasted)
- Green Olives, 8 (chopped)
- Oil
Method:
Top the tortilla wraps with 1 tsp. of pepper salsa and chicken tikka slices. Spruce it up with the roasted red pepper and chopped green olives. Roll it and wrap tightly with a greaseproof paper, and twist the ends. Heat them in a microwave for 2 minutes and serve.
Crisp Chicken Bites (serves 8)
Ingredients:
- Chicken Breasts, 4 (boneless)
- Breadcrumbs, 10 oz. (fresh or dried)
- Red Pesto, 6 tbsp.
- Olive Oil
Method:
Cut the chicken breasts into small chunks and dip them in the bowl containing pesto, so that they get coated entirely. Now, roll them onto a plate containing breadcrumbs, and lay them on a baking sheet. Put them in the freezer. For serving, pour a little oil on a baking tray and cook the chicken in the oven at 428° F for 10-15 minutes. An alternative for this recipe would be to use mini sausage rolls.
Smoothie Jellies with Ice cream (serves 12)
Ingredients:
- Smoothie, 33.8 oz.
- Leaf Gelatin, 6 sheets
- Water
- Ice Cream (your choice)
Method:
Put the gelatin in water until it is soft and floppy. Meanwhile, gently heat the smoothie in a saucepan without boiling. Take it off the heat. Squeeze the gelatin so that water gets removed, and add it to the smoothie mixture. Stir until its consistency is smooth enough. Pour this mixture in small pots or glasses. Chill it in a deep freezer for 1 hour. Top the smoothies with scoops of ice cream. You can serve this dish with a homemade lemonade drink.
Smoked Salmon Rotollos (serves 25)
Ingredients:
- Cream Cheese, 0.66 lbs.
- Lemon Juice, 1 tbsp.
- Black Pepper (pinch)
- Dill, 2 tbsp. (chopped)
- Smoked Salmon, 0.77 lbs.
- Tortillas, 4 (large)
Method:
Mix the cream cheese, lemon juice, chopped dill, and black pepper in a bowl. Spread this mixture onto the tortillas and cover them with smoked salmon. Roll up and twist the ends. Place them in the fridge until they’re ready to use. While serving, cut the rolls diagonally.
Teriyaki Beef and Lettuce Cups (serves 2)
Ingredients:
- Steak, 0.77 lbs. (sliced)
- Teriyaki Sauce Marinade, 2 tbsp.
- Cucumber, ½ (chopped)
- Coriander, 2 tbsp. (chopped)
- Lime Juice, ½ lime
- Salt
- Oil
- Lettuce Leaves, 6
- Teriyaki Beef, 0.77 lbs. (cooked)
- Red Chili, 1 (thinly sliced)
- Red Onion, ½ (thinly sliced)
Method:
Slice the steak and marinate it in teriyaki sauce for about 5-10 minutes. Mix the cucumber and coriander with lime juice, and season this mixture with a pinch of salt. Fry the steak slices in a pan for 3 minutes. Pile up the mixture on the lettuce leaves and dress it with cooked teriyaki beef, chillies, and red onion.
